Tecla’s K-9 Academy at ICE Rally Show, Westminster, MD
Tecla’s K-9 Academy Rally Team showed beautifully at Intelligent Canine Endeavors (ICE) Rally competition in Westminster, MD this past weekend!
Saturday honors go to the following handler/dog teams:
Bruce and Sasha: 1B 2nd place with a score of 207, 1B 194, 2A 3rd place with a score of 201, 2A earned Rally Level 2 Title with a score of 200, 3A 1st place with a score of 194
Rebecca and Storm: 1st time trialing level 1A 2nd place with a score of 206
Kelsey and Ruby: 1st time trialing – level 1A 4th place with a score of 197
Candace and Shasta: level 1B 2nd place, level 2A 4th place, level 2A 2nd place (after a run off on a 1st place tie)with a score of 203, also earning her Rally Level 2 Title
Sunday honors go to the following handler/dog teams:
Tecla and Penny: HUGE WEEKEND for this team as Penny earned her ARCH (APDT RAlly Champion) with scores all over 200! 1B 202, 2B 206, 1B 209 taking 3rd place, and 2B 209 taking 2nd place
Rebecca and Storm: 1A 3rd place with a score of 191, 1A 2nd place with a score of 206 and earning her Rally Level 1 Title, 2A 2nd place with a score of 195
Kerry and Jasmine: 2A 2nd place, with a score of 202 and earning her Rally Level 2 Title, 1B with a score of 202
Diane and Maddie: 3rd 2nd place with a score of 199, 2A 1st place with a score of 201
Bruce and Sasha: 1B 4th place with a score of 207, 2B 1st place with a perfect 210
In every class Tecla’s K-9 Academy Team members competed in they took multiple places within the top 4 rankings! And, at this particular trial the judge announced a Spirit of Rally Award which is given to the handler/dog team with the best teamwork and bond. BOTH days this was awarded to Tecla’s K-9 Academy Rally Team members (Saturdays honor went to Bruce and Sasha and Sunday’s honor went to Diane and Maddie) truly exemplifying Tecla’s K-9 Academy’s belief in “Obedience Through Relationship”.
